What is the Pomodoro Technique?
The Pomodoro Technique, developed by Francesco Cirillo, helps boost productivity by using a timer that divides work into 25-minute periods with short breaks. Each period is called a "pomodoro" after the tomato-shaped timer Cirillo used at university.
How to use the Pomodoro Timer?
- Set the Pomodoro timer per task (25 minutes or your preferred time)
- Start the timer and focus on the task at hand
- When the alarm goes off, take a short or longer break (5-10 minutes, or customize as needed)
- Return to the next task, and repeat until all tasks are completed
