Privacy Policy

1. Sites and products covered by this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to Traqq.com and all Traqq products and websites ("Traqq"). Traqq websites and products may provide links to third-party websites and products. If you access those links or install and use those products, that interaction will not be covered by this Privacy Policy, as Traqq has no control over third-party websites, products or their policies. Traqq specifically disclaims any and all liability, in contract or in tort, arising from your use of any link to any third-party website, or your use of any third-party product. The personal data you choose to give to unrelated third parties is not covered by the Traqq Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any company before submitting your personal information. Some third-party companies may choose to share their personal data with Traqq; that sharing is governed by that third-party company's privacy policy. By using Traqq websites or products, interacting with our websites or communicating with us, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Privacy Policy, including any updates and amendments. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you must not access or use our websites or products, or communicate with us using your personal data.

This Privacy Policy covers personal information, non-personal data collection and aggregate reporting.

Personal information is information that is associated with your name or personal identity. Traqq uses personal information to deliver products and provide you with better service. Once you choose to provide us with personal information, you can be assured it will be used only to support your customer relationship with Traqq. We take seriously the trust you place in us. Traqq will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others.

Non-personal information is data about usage and service operation that is not associated with a specific personal identity. Traqq collects and analyzes non-personal information to evaluate how visitors use the Traqq websites or how users interact with Traqq products. Non-personal data we collect may include unique URLs visited within our domains, browser type and version, geographic location, IP address, time zone setting, operating system and platform, device type and device identifiers, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), your engagement with certain variable/dynamic elements of a page and methods used to browse away from the page. Most non-personal data is collected via cookies or other analysis technologies. Traqq web pages use cookies and other technologies for data analysis and personalization. This non-personal information is required for us to be able to provide our services to you. If you decline to let us collect this information, such as by disabling cookies, we may not be able to provide our services to you.

You are responsible for any third-party personal data obtained, published or shared through Traqq websites or products, and confirm that you have the third party's consent to provide such data to Traqq.

3. What information we collect

Traqq stores information sent by your web browser while visiting the Traqq website or using our desktop applications.

When you send Traqq requests for technical support or other messages, Traqq saves your email address, name, and message content for further correspondence related to your inquiry.

Your name, work email address and company name will be required to create an account, which Traqq will use to deliver products and provide services. We will collect certain information about you in connection with your registration for an account with Traqq, which may include personal data and other information such as a username and password.

To create an account with Traqq, we will ask you to provide the following:

Your first and last name, email address, company name and size, password.

To register your organization for an account with Traqq, we will ask you to provide the following:

Your organization’s name, address (optional), team size, currency (optional), preferred settings, team members’ email addresses and roles.

When you purchase Traqq products, you provide your personal contact, billing, and shipping information to our payment processing partner, who retains the information needed for billing and shipping purposes, and information on your product licenses. Our payment processing partner shares with us the minimum information needed for us to provide service to you and handle your license. We may use that information to email you regarding your order. We do not get access to your payment details, such as your credit card or bank account number. This information is encrypted and only used by our payment processing partners for the intended purpose.

Information collected by the Traqq application on Windows, Mac and Linux devices:

We may collect names of applications used, websites visited, your work time, the operating system on your device, whether there is mouse and/or keyboard activity, and your web browser version.

Traqq does not work as a keylogger. The application does not record the characters you type on your keyboard, but rather detects whether the keyboard is being typed on. The amount of time during which there was activity recorded is saved in a local queue on your device and uploaded to your online Traqq account every 15 minutes.

The name of the processing partner who will handle your payment and a link to their Terms and Privacy Policies are always specified in the shopping cart.

Traqq’s transactional emails are handled by our partner Mailgun Technologies - https://www.mailgun.com/privacy-policy/.

The information we transmit to Mailgun Technologies may include: your first name, your email address, your Traqq license status, your computer system specs and some statistical data on the issues detected on your computer. This information will only be used to send you messages from Traqq, and will not be used by Mailgun Technologies for any other purposes, sold or shared with any third parties.

4. Cookies and other tracking tools

We may use cookies, tracking pixels or other technologies to track usage and to support the operation of Traqq websites and products, so you can have a better experience with Traqq.

Web browser cookies. Cookies are small files that get saved on your computer’s hard drive when you visit websites. They communicate with servers, which may include Traqq’s servers or servers of third-party companies authorized to collect data for us, and allow your device to be recognized. You may set your web browser to decline some cookies or to notify you when cookies are being saved on your device. Analytics Tools. Traqq uses web analytics services, including, but not limited to, Google Analytics. The information web analytics services generate about website usage is transmitted to those services and used to analyze visitors’ use of the domain, to produce statistical reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to the website or Internet use. 5. How we use your information

Traqq uses the personal and non-personal information collected about you for the following purposes:

To provide and improve our services. This includes managing account access, troubleshooting, protecting security, developing and introducing new features, services or products, providing customer support, etc.

To comply with legal requirements. Your information may be used to comply with various regulations, laws, and requests from law enforcement or governmental entities; to enforce Traqq’s rights or carry out obligations arising from agreements or contracts, etc.

To personalize content. This includes tailoring the information we show to you, including advertising, marketing and promotional content.

To protect interests and rights. This includes protecting the property, rights or safety of Traqq and any third party; preventing and investigating activity that may be illegal or questionable, etc.

For analytics and research purposes. This helps us gather statistical data, monitor the effectiveness of the content we create or communications we deliver, analyze the way you use Traqq, so we can resolve any potential issues and improve our websites and products for you.

To communicate with you. We may contact you about your purchase and/or use of Traqq products, respond to your inquiries, questions or feedback, and to facilitate provision of Traqq services to you. We may also send you electronic newsletters with news, special offers and other information that may interest you, unless you choose not to receive such communications by unsubscribing from our mailing list. Traqq will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to others. Traqq shares customer information with companies working on our behalf, but only as described above in the ‘How we use your information’ section. Traqq will not share personal information with any other third parties without your permission, unless required by a law enforcement action, subpoena, or local law.

8. Keeping your information secure

Traqq is committed to protecting the information you provide to us. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, to maintain data accuracy, and to ensure the appropriate use of the information, Traqq has in place appropriate physical and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect. However, there is no system that could guarantee absolute security of your information. While we do our best to protect the personal information you provide to us from unauthorized access or use by third parties, Traqq may not be able to warrant or ensure complete security of such information. Therefore, your use of Traqq websites and products, and your communications with Traqq are at your own risk. You take responsibility for protecting your login, password and other such details, as well as for the security of any data you transmit over the internet to or with the help of Traqq.

9. Retention time

Personal data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose it was collected for.

Traqq may be allowed to retain personal data for a longer period whenever the user has given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. Furthermore, Traqq may be obliged to retain personal data for a longer period whenever required to do so for the performance of a legal obligation or upon order of an authority.

Once the retention period expires, personal data shall be deleted. Therefore, the right of access, the right to erasure, the right to rectification and the right to data portability cannot be enforced after expiration of the retention period.

10. Controlling your data

How you can opt out of marketing communications. We may send you certain informational or promotional communications. Where required by law, such communications will be sent to you only with your consent. To opt out of receiving promotional emails from Traqq, you may follow the Unsubscribe instructions provided in every letter. Some emails are necessary for Traqq to provide services to you or manage your account. Such emails will be sent to you even after you unsubscribe from optional marketing communications.

How you can access, edit or delete your personal information. Keeping your personal information updated and accurate helps Traqq provide better service to you. You are entitled to the following personal data protection rights:

The right to access – You have the right to request Traqq for copies of your personal data, to receive it in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format and, if technically feasible, to have it transmitted to another controller without any hindrance. This provision is applicable provided that the data is processed by automated means and that the processing is based on your consent, on a contract which you are part of or on pre-contractual obligations thereof. A copy of your data may be provided to you up to twice a year. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that Traqq correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Traqq to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that Traqq erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that Traqq restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to Traqq’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that Traqq transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

Right to non-discrimination - We do not discriminate users in any way for exercising their rights under any data protection law or regulation that applies to them, or for any other reason.

Considering the specific requirements related to the exercising of these data protection rights, we may:

  • Respond to your data-related request within 30 days of receiving it;
  • Provide you with the personal data we have collected about you up to twice a year;
  • Decline your request for personal data if we are unable to verify your identity. You are responsible for providing us with enough information to enable us to confirm that you are the person, whose information you are requesting. When requests are made from a registered Traqq user account, we consider such requests sufficiently verified;
  • Decline to send your personal data to another person or entity.

Processor: Traqq provides software, services and tools that allow customers to track work time, create reports and invoices and manage teams. Traqq does not own or control any of the information it processes on behalf of its customer. All such information is owned and controlled by Traqq’s customer. Data Controller: Traqq also operates websites and provides information products to allow customers to make decisions and to order services from Traqq. In this function, Traqq acts as a data controller of the personal information contained in these products and processes this personal information as described in this Policy in the USA. This country may not have the same level of personal data protection as the EEA or Switzerland. This information is transferred to the USA on the basis of consent, or European Commission-approved standard contractual clauses, and may be further transferred to our partners or service providers located in other countries, which may not have the same level of protection for personal data as the EEA or Switzerland.
